Paso Robles Hot Springs

The famed Paso Robles mineral hot springs are going strong and like visitors 150 years ago, today’s travelers can still take “take the cure” at the River Oaks Hot Springs and Spa and at the Paso Robles Inn. Before the area became known for wine, it was the hot springs that attracted people from around the world to Paso Robles. The soothing, medicinal waters contain sulfur compounds and minerals which come out of the ground warmed by the earth, not artificially heated, at 117 degrees and contain a high mineral content which helps soothe the skin, speed blood circulation, increases metabolism, detoxifies the lymphatic system, and rejuvenates tight and tired muscles.

The River Oaks Hot Springs and Spa offers private indoor open air tubs for $12/hour or private outdoor hillside tubs for $16/hour. There is an extra charge of $8 for each person. The spa offers other services like facials, massages, peels, wraps, waxing, and yoga instruction.

At the Paso Robles Inn, where it all began, some guestrooms feature hot tubs with the natural mineral spring water. But you have to be a hotel guest to use the hot tubs and you have to request a room with one.
